Georgia Institute of Technology - BS, Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering

Every student I work with will have a different method of learning information, so my focus is always to try and adapt my method of teaching to fit the preferred method of learning for each student. This gives my students a better chance of succeeding in the learning process. I also believe that asking my students questions about the information is very important. By asking questions, it forces the student to think critically about the information and ensures that the student is understanding the material properly. Another key to tutoring a student successfully is to create a positive relationship with them. A great working relationship creates an environment conducive to learning.I am capable of assisting students with test preparation for the PSAT, SAT, and ACT. I am also able to tutor math students in concepts ranging from elementary math skills to upper-level algebra classes. I also feel comfortable helping others improve their reading and writing skills. When I'm not working with students, I enjoy dancing, reading, watching "How I Met Your Mother" on television, and playing percussion.
