Experience
I work with a nonprofit for the past two years, visiting colleges and universities across the country to encourage students to participate in their local communities and provide their knowledge and insight. I'm also the editor-in-chief of the Journal of the American Institute of Architecture Students, aka Crit. As a tutor, I like to take a teamwork approach. I want students to be active and participate in learning process, and I participate as well to guide them along and help them become self-sufficient in their learning. I help students work through their learning obstacles with effective communication. I'm a lifelong learner, and I try to balance work and play to keep myself and the student interested. I know the challenges and stress that students deal with every day, and I hope to help them by alleviating some of that as an effective tutor. I can tutor students in English, reading, writing, history, government, essay editing, and preparation for the GRE, LSAT, and other standardized tests. In my free time, I like to read, study urban history in America, and write. I'm also interested in sustainable agriculture.
