Education

Currently studying Mechanical Engineering with a minor in STEM Education at Louisiana Tech University

Experience

I have several years of experience as a math tutor, teaching everything from counting and basic number sense to algebra, geometry, and calculus. I have tutored privately, but also through a company called Mathnasium. I love helping people understand new topics, and I have a knack for finding the gaps in a student's learning. I've been minoring in education, focusing on engaging teaching methods for math and science. At the same time, I've been studying calculus for my mechanical engineering degree, so I've gotten most of the standard college level math finished. Beyond that, I'm just looking to get back into work that I have loved doing in the past.

Hobbies

I love a good story, whether it's in a book or a movie. Some of my favorites are from the fantasy and science fiction genres, but I've also enjoyed various mysteries and works of speculative historical fiction. I'm fond of video games, martial arts, and medieval combat (also known as larping). My greatest hobby, however, is the recitation and creation of terrible puns.
