I have ten years of teaching experience and a Professional Teaching Certificate. I have experience working with elementary, middle, high, college, at-risk students, gifted, and students whose primary language is not English. I have taken courses in Educational Psychology and Multiple Intelligence. During my time working as a school teacher I quickly realized that the large classroom setting was inappropriate for most students. Students have varying strengths and weaknesses. It was difficult to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students. Tutoring allows me to construct a lesson plan specific to each student instead of a plan specific to the curriculum.
