Hi! I am passionate educator studying Education and Psychology from Harvard University. I am studying Education with 4.0 GPA, received a perfect score on the math section of the SAT, and achieved a GRE score in the 98th percentile. I have been teaching math, Chinese and science courses for the past five years and have been privately tutoring test prep ( SAT/ ACT/ GRE/ ISEE/ ASSESSMENT), mathematics, science, English, Chinese, and college counseling for the past five years. I strongly believe in ensuring that there is a solid working relationship between myself and my tutoring clients since this is the first step of future accomplishment. My goal is to teach students proper study habits and core academic content so that students ca eventually become self-directed learners as they prepare to enter the workforce. I hold very high expectations for all of my students and have numerous success stories about students with mathematical processing disorders, ADHD, IEPs, and 504 plans as a result of my academic guidance and support. I tutor a wide range of subjects from elementary math to the quantitative reasoning section on the GRE. Currently, the most group sessions I am tutoring are Accelerated Algebra 2, Pre- Calculus, and AP Calculus. As often as possible in lessons, I incorporate technology and concrete manipulative to help engage the struggling leaner and to help challenge students looking for more rigor. I have been teaching mathematics for the past six years. My students describe me as a tutor who is able to bounce from AP Calculus to drafting an insightful thesis statement for an upcoming college application essay. They tell friends that they have a tutor who is serious about academic yet a "cool" tutor who knows how to have fun by riding motorcycles while teaching students about the physics and mathematical concepts behind the wheels.
