Dwight W.
Private tutor in Atlanta, GA
Education
I graduated Cum Laude and was awarded a dual degree- B.S. in Physics from Morehouse College & B.S.E. in Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Michigan. I worked as a tutor for over half of my time in college. Many of my students will say that they owe their success to me. From my perspective, I bring out of them the skills and confidence that they need to be successful.
Experience
- I have over 4 years of experience tutoring. The subjects that I have traditionally are tutored Precalculus (Trigonometry), Calculus I & II, and Physics for Science majors. At the University of California at Berkeley I was a research assistant. From that work, I completed a research publication titled "Inkjet Printed Resistive Temperature Detectors for Biological Microfluidic Applications" which helped a woman graduate with her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and it was also published in a German journal. I have worked for Goldman Sachs doing product data quality control. This involved having a keen eye for detail! I have worked in Private Equity (think of CNBC's show The Profit). When evaluating the worth of a company, the numbers have to be right!

Hobbies
While at Michigan, I co-created a program called the Brotherhood of Scholars for high school students. We took math, science, english, art, music, and SAT prep and put it into a comprehensive program that not only taught these subjects to the students, but also give them relative real world examples as to why all of these subjects are important. I'm passionate and interested about entrepreneurship, of which I have my own company. My love for numbers has recently led me to quit my job in the engineer/finance field and go full time with my company as the CFO.
