Education
Earned my BA in English with a Writing Concentration, 2010, at Wheaton College, IL Also I studied Spanish as a minor. After graduation, I lived in Puerto Rico for a time to gain fluency in the language.
Experience
I have worked as a teacher and tutor for six years. I began at my college writing center, tutoring graduate and undergraduate students. After graduating, from 2010-2012 I taught Spanish and Creative Writing in classroom setting for homeschooled students. I also gained experience as a local substitute teacher, and as an English teacher at Pan-American Language Institute, in Bayamon, Puerto Rico (2013). I began to transition into private tutoring, and freelance writing, in 2014. Currently I live in Georgia with my husband, tutoring students of all ages in language skills (English, Spanish, SAT writing, and more). Private tutoring gives me joy because I get to come alongside students and help them grow, giving them all the individualized care that they need. I like to inspire my students with confidence, allow them to be creative, and help them learn perseverance.
