Hi! I am Traci. I have been teaching children for over 25 years, and I can still say that the moment that a student claims that they "get it" is one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever had. I find it truly significant as I work with children who are struggling to read. To see them finally break through whatever barrier they experience is so exciting. Reading is the most basic skill we need for survival in current society; and I enjoy being the one who assists them in becoming part of that fluent and productive society. I am also greatly rewarded in helping students to write. After reading occurs, assisting them in putting their thoughts into words is also an important part of living life in today's time. I believe in showing students how to like learning, and to be active in the learning process. I graduated from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and Covenant College, and I currently live in Atlanta, Georgia. In addition to tutoring reading and writing, I assist students with college essays, essay editing, phonics, study skills and organization, and English. I also help with homework, as well as ISEE lower and middle level and SSAT lower and middle level exam prep. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, reading, spending time with my family, and teaching.
