Education

I am currently a sophomore student majoring in international relations and economics and minoring in women studies at Agnes Scott College. I am expected to graduate in the fall of 2017. My current GPA is a 2.7, which is equivalent to an 82. Before attending Agnes Scott College, I attended Georgia State University while I was in high school. While I was at Georgia State University, I had a GPA of 3.2, which is equivalent to an 87. I took classes such as public speaking, world history, introduction to human geography, and English composition 1 and 2.

Experience

I began assisting my peers with their writing in middle school. In high school, I was granted the opportunity to become the assistant writing coach for the early college students that attended Georgia State University. While at Agnes Scott, I was asked to apply to be a writing tutor at our Center for Writing and Speaking. Also, I am currently working with a Boston University professor to publish an academic article for an academic journal and conference. I have taken micro and macro economic classes in both high school and college. During high school, I was taking courses at Georgia State University, which included English Composition 1 and 2. At Agnes Scott, I have also taken the introduction to women studies course. This upcoming semester, I am taking the following courses: contemporary feminist theory, international economic institutions, integrative biology 1, and introduction to German 1.

Hobbies

When I am not engulfed in school work and work, I enjoy drawing, writing, blogging, and cooking with my boyfriend. I also enjoy mentoring. Because in the past I had mentors and I understand the impact they can have on someone's life, I am very passionate about being a positive influence to others and inspiring them to find what they are passionate about. I am very intrigued with enlightenment and finding your true purpose and I am currently on my own path in trying to figure out exactly what I am supposed to do. However, I know for sure that writing and mentoring are two of the things that I was made to do.
