-Central Michigan University 2008 Masters Degree in Instruction -University of Maryland Eastern Shore 2001 Bachelor Degree in Special Education k-12 I am certified through the Georgia Professional Standards Commission at the elementary school level for special education & regular education . I am certified for areas in middle school according to Georgia requirements.
Experience
I have 14 years of teaching experience within the school system. My first 3 years were in Maryland & the last 11 have been in Georgia. My experience includes teaching special education students for 8 years as well as being the coordinator. For the past 6 years, I've taught general education including: Students with Disabilities, English Second Language Students, Speech/Language Impaired Students & Early Intervention Program Students . I've also taught adult learners & facilitated numerous technology trainings for students & adults. I mentor other teachers & tutor outside of school. My undergrad degree is k-12 however, my teaching experience with students has been at the elementary level for mainly pre-k thru 6th.
