I completed my Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience at Emory University. My tutoring experience includes a year of tutoring English essay writing and chemistry online to teenagers in high school and college students, in-home ESL tutoring for Bhutanese teens in high school, teaching English, math, chemistry, and ACT/SAT prep to small groups of students, and working as a teacher's assistant in a biology class, teaching lab techniques.My passion for teaching comes from my affinity for helping other students achieve their academic goals and reach their fullest potential. I'm a patient person, and take the time to listen to my students to discover the areas where they struggle and address their concerns. I create an engaging learning environment for students that I tutor, where they are encouraged to make suggestions for solving problems and ask questions. I tutor students in numerous subjects, including middle school math, pre-algebra, algebra, chemistry, inorganic chemistry, AP Chemistry, science, social sciences, Mandarin Chinese, AP Chinese Language and Culture, reading, writing, literature, grammar, and psychology. I also offer test prep services for students preparing to take the ACT, PSAT, and SAT, tutoring for International Baccalaureate students in IB Chemistry HL and SL and IB Psychology HL and SL, and tutoring for ESL/ELL students.In my free time, I like to write music, play the piano, dance, hike, and write.
