Brown University - BA, Political Science; Italian Studies , Georgia State University - Teaching Certification Program, Behavior and Learning Disabilities

I am a Brown University graduate who majored in both Italian Studies and Political Science. I received my teaching certificate from Georgia State University, focusing on teaching students with learning and behavioral disabilities. Currently, I am a special education teacher at an Atlanta middle school where I was recently voted Teacher of the Year. I really love to teach reading, because I want to assist my students in developing the skills and desire to read. I really like being a tutor, because it gives me the opportunity to work one-on-one with individual students, so that I might focus on determining and supporting their specific educational needs. I tutor in a variety of different subjects, including Italian, Phonics, American History, Handwriting, Art, English, Grammar and Mechanics, Middle School Math, AP United States History, and many other courses. When I have free time, I enjoy running, coaching track, reading, baking, solving puzzles, and traveling. I look forward to hearing from you.
