Private tutor in Atlanta, GA

Georgia Institute of Technology-Main Campus/Covenant College - BS Mech Engineering/BA Natural Science, Mechanical Engineering

Because I love so many different subjects myself, I try to discover where my tutoring students excel, and bring that into the study process. I have witnessed from my students' change in morale how important it is to nurture their preexisting skills and abilities. This can help to draw their focus from things they believe they cannot do to areas where they excel. I build relationships with my students so that I can encourage them in the right direction, and I use the mental tools they already have at their disposal. As a tutor, I teach a huge range of subjects, from math and physics, to economics, to music, to standardized test preparation. I have years of experience as a tutor as well as a student. In addition to having a high GPA in high school, I was the president of the science club, and I also tutored fellow high school students in all levels of physics classes. I also helped tutor them in both US and European History courses. Currently, I am completing a dual degree in Mechanical Engineering and Natural Science, with the goal of enrolling in a graduate program for nuclear engineering. I am also passionate about music, and I hope to tutor some students in that subject soon.
