Experience
Tutoring has been my career and my passion for over 14 years. Being able to help students improve their skills in academics and studying is the most rewarding part of my job. Improving in academics will help students in the long run with personal and career goals, and I am so pleased when I am able to be part of that improvement. My philosophy focuses on showing my students how much I care, but also accepting no excuses. By holding high standards for them, I show them that they can embrace their challenges and move toward success. When students feel like they have an understanding of a subject, and they see that reflected in their academic performance, they will become more confident and begin to participate in class more often. I received my bachelor's degree in business administration from Florida A&M University, then went on to receive my master's degree in public administration from Keller Graduate School of Management. Because I have been a student for years, I know that studying can be a challenge. I love to tutor all grade levels, from elementary schoolers to seniors in high school. I enjoy working with students on math in particular, but I can also help with preparation for standardized and college entrance exams and study skills.
