Alabama State University - Bachelor's, Social Science/Secondary Education , Argosy University-Atlanta - Specialist's Degree, Instructional Design
When it comes to learning, I am very passionate - I am studying to become the first person in my family with a doctoral degree - and as an instructor I strive to inspire that same drive and passion in my students.I have 15 fifteen years of experience teaching social sciences - such as history, anthropology, geography, religious studies, and government and politics - as well as reading (topics include comprehension and critical reading), writing, and mathematics. I can also help with preparation for SAT and other exams, and I work with students of any age. A former teacher in the New Orleans public school system, I now live in the Atlanta area. I have a bachelor's degree in social science and secondary education from Alabama State University (where I joined various civic groups on campus), and I earned a curriculum and instruction master's from Central Michigan University. I also attended Argosy University and obtained an educational specialist's degree.A football player while at Alabama State, I now spend some of my free time enjoying the less bruising flag version of the game. I also like basketball, poetry, cultural arts festivals, and listening to various types of music on my iPod.
