Emory University - BS, Biology

I studied biology at Emory University, graduating with a bachelor of science degree. I'm now attending Columbia University to study medicine. As an undergraduate, I had the opportunity to serve as a teaching assistant in music and biology courses, and I also tutored. I've also helped students prepare for standardized tests. When I work with students, I don't just want them to understand the material. Instead, I want to help students develop learning skills they need to become self-sufficient learners. Every student learns in their own way, so I modify my approach to match my student, and I enjoy this challenge. I also enjoy thinking of creative ways to explain concepts and walking students through problems. I can tutor students in anatomy and physiology, biology, MCAT preparation, ACT preparation, Latin, and more. When I have free time, I like to listen to music, read, and run.
