Hello. My name is Jonathan, and I live in Atlanta. I earned a bachelor's degree in Botany from the University of Florida. Because of my educational background, I understand how difficult it is to process and organize seemingly endless lists of concepts that are not easily understood. What made the difference for me was breaking down the problems into manageable parts with the help of another person. As a tutor, my approach is to help the student see the various steps for a problem. Then, I repeat this process until it become muscle memory. I think fun is essential, and if studying becomes burdensome, something needs to change. By embracing a positive attitude, some patience, and a real desire to improve, every student can master the material and embrace the challenge to improve themselves. I can provide tutoring in many subjects including Algebra 1 and 2, Trig, Pre-Calc, Anatomy, Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Microbiology, Physics, Earth Science, and Life Science. I can also help students prepare for the PSAT and SAT. I enjoy reading, surfing, kayaking, and cooking. And, I can't help stopping on a walk to identify (in scientific terms) plants and trees. When my neighbors and friends allow, I offer impromptu lectures on floral diversity.
