I acquired my B.S. in Mathematics from Georgia State University in 2014. While there, I participated in peer study groups, and also assisted my sibling enrolled in middle school with schoolwork. Upon graduation, I started tutoring students in a number of subjects, including various levels of Languages and Mathematics (from elementary-and-middle-school coursework to Advanced Calculus). I've worked with students of many ages to understand and excel in math. I'm a native Spanish speaker, so I work comfortably with English- and Spanish-speaking students. I'm working toward becoming a teacher and would relish in the opportunity to improve upon my educating skills and capabilities. I believe that being patient and empathetic are both integral to teaching. In this way, I find it important to connect with students on a personal level. I place priority on building thoughtful relationships with students that focus on active communication and a constant exchange of ideas. I love to help students better relate to the subjects they are studying, rather than just memorizing and regurgitating facts and figures. I try to inspire students to find joy and intrigue in Mathematics, as I do. For fun, I like to watch documentaries, spend time with family, and bike throughout the city.
