ExperienceI earned my undergraduate degree in physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and my graduate degree in astrophysics from the University of California, Santa Cruz. During the course of my education I conducted research on exoplanets and black holes. High level physics and math have been my full time occupation since graduate school and I love sharing my expertise in the field with students. I've found it can be extremely valuable for students to know that the subjects with which they are engaging have practical real world applications and are not simply facts on a page with no meaningful correlation to their lives. My work experience makes it easy for me to share this perspective.
I've taught a variety of subjects with students ranging from the age of ten through adults in college. I currently tutor a wide range of subjects, including algebra 1 & 2, calculus 1-3, elementary school math, differential equations, quantitative reasoning, physics, middle school math, college physics, pre-calculus, trigonometry, computer science, competition math, multivariable calculus, arithmetic, and assorted other math and science courses. I also help students prepare for standardized exams such as the GMAT, SAT, GRE, and PSAT. I love demystifying the subjects of math and physics for students who have found them challenging.
