Private tutor in Atlanta, GA
Salisbury University - BS, Physics
I am a tutor with a preference for helping students succeed in math and science. I graduated from Salisbury University with a bachelor's degree in physics. I also minored in mathematics. While attending college, I tutored students in physics and math. I am comfortable tutoring students in a variety of different subject areas, including algebra 1, calculus 1, pre-calculus, algebra 2, arithmetic, physics, algebra 3/4, physical science, and pre-algebra. I can also tutor students in optics, mechanics, magnetism, and electricity. My philosophy as a tutor emphasizes helping my students enjoy math. I am a firm believer in critical and logical thinking. Thus, my goal as a tutor is to help my students realize that critical and logical thinking are extremely practical when it comes to solving math problems. Teaching my students how to think critically and logically is much more beneficial than simply helping them answer individual problems. The process of thinking critically and logically can help students solve problems in not only any subject area, but also in life as well. In my free time, I like to play the drums, lift weights, and play video games.
