Education

Yale University - BA, Biology , Emory - BSN/MSN, Nursing

Experience

I have a bachelor's in Biology from Yale University, where I spent my freshman and sophomore years studying Comparative Literature before switching fields in order to work toward a career in health care. Now I am studying at Emory University to become a Nurse Practitioner. My parents were both English teachers, and this instilled in me a love of Writing and Literature from a very young age. All through my college years I have spent time as a Writing and Math tutor for local high schoolers. I also taught survival skills to children as part of a wilderness program. In recent years I have become passionate in Science fields such as Physiology and Anatomy, and would love to begin passing on my knowledge in those subjects. As a tutor, I believe learning can and should be a fun experience for everyone. While it is difficult, I don't think it should be a chore for the student, and it should allow for their own creativity. In my free time I like camping, kayaking, and running, as well as composing and performing my own music.
