Composition and writing, and grammar and mechanics, are subjects I love to teach and I can help any student through a one-on-one tutoring session. I believe that reading and music help reinforce language and can contribute to one's knowledge and skills. In my experience, I have worked in high school and college environments with standard and advanced language courses. I have also worked with English as a second language students and other individuals. Now I can also help in writing, literature, grammar and mechanics, college essays, and foreign languages.My tutoring career began in college. When I volunteered at a local women's and children's shelter, I would help kids of any age with homework. I also organized games and activities there. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Agnes Scott College and studied romance languages, focusing on Spanish, French, and Italian. While part of the study abroad program from Georgia State University, I studied the local culture, history, and language in Perugia, Italy.I am ready to tutor from my home of Alpharetta, Georgia. When I am not tutoring students who can use my expertise, I read, swim, and travel. I also enjoy volunteering at various local pet rescues.
