My driving passion is for teaching foreign languages, specifically the Spanish language. I believe educating a student to learn or improve their mastery of a new language can be vital to broadening their understanding of themselves as well as expanding their perspective so they can see the world in a global context. In an age where the internet allows us to connect with anyone anywhere, having a second (or third) language under your belt has become even more of an asset, both personally and professionally. I aspire to aid students to achieve their academic goals, and I do so by creating a positive learning experience that encourages students to find what inspires them, which in turn becomes their motivation to excel.As everyone learns in their own way, I utilize a variety of teaching methods to assure they are getting a comprehensive learning experience. In addition to tutoring, I am a full-time high school teacher, certified to teach K-12 Spanish. I also teach English to non-native speakers (which is very gratifying), so I specialize in tutoring both English and Spanish. I was educated at the University of North Carolina at Asheville, and I live in Atlanta, Georgia. When I take a time out for myself, I really like music and arts & crafts.
