Experience
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biology and Spanish from Emory University. I am currently working as an EMT, which gives me new opportunities to think quickly each day. I have also taught gymnastics to kids of all ages for the past five years! I aim to bring this agility and creativity to my tutoring sessions, where I begin by identifying each learner's areas of concern and optimal learning style. Using this information, I then develop an individualized curriculum for each student. I have studied Spanish for over a decade, and have been fortunate enough to spend time studying abroad in Buenos Aires. I am truly enthusiastic about teaching and tutoring Spanish to students of all ages. I also have experience in teaching English to ESL students and working with ESL students on other subjects. I am as proficient at teaching the basics of Spanish grammar and vocabulary as I am at tutoring conversation, composition, and literature. Although biology was my major, I also like to tutor students in chemistry and physics. I am also able to assist students in standardized test preparation for the ACT and MCAT. In my spare time, I enjoy studying new concepts in EMS and medicine, teaching gymnastics, and practicing Spanish.
