EducationI have a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Auburn University (2008) with a 3.2 GPA. I just graduated from the University of Virginia and received my Masters in Secondary Science Education.
ExperienceI have experience working with people of all ages in different types of learning environments. I have a genuine commitment to teaching. Throughout my work experiences I have been required to train or educate others. My experiences have taught me about working with others in a positive way to exceed expectations.
With my solid background in math and science, I will be able to give students a firm foundation for their future studies. However, I am also easy-going and will do everything I can to make learning enjoyable for my students. I have the patience and dedication needed to be a great tutor and to guarantee success.
Currently, I am teaching at a local high school. Therefore, my schedule can vary but I am always willing to work with you to set up a time that works best. We can set up weekly, one-time, or multiple hour sessions. I can also do group sessions for a discounted price per student.
HobbiesI love being creative (I draw and paint), being outside, playing games, watching movies, going to the dog park (I have a 4 yo German Shepherd), going to museums, and really anything that requires some extra thought and imagination. I also love trying new things and exploring new places.
