I have several years of one-on-one and group tutoring experience. During my undergraduate studies I was consistently employed as a private tutor while also holding a position as a study group facilitator for Biological Chemistry and Organic Chemistry 2. As a facilitator, I created and provided supplemental materials, including worksheets and practice exams, for groups of up to 13 members. Other lead roles I held includes serving as Vice President and Tutoring Chair of Omega Chi Epsilon, the Chemical Engineering Honor Society.
I have tutored all courses that I have listed below as well as those subjects in specific preparation for tests (MCAT, PAT, DAT, etc). I care not only about the grade obtained but in addition, I aim for my students to fully comprehend the topic instead of solely being able to get the answer right. I tailor my teaching style to what works best for the individual student, and I ask for feedback if something does not work. Providing choices to the student demands active participation and helps the student feel more in control over their coursework allowing them to gain self-confidence. My goal every session is to find what sparks their motivation that day and help them become excited about learning so that studying no longer feels like a chore. I have worked in many different environments as a tutor, from quiet libraries to busy coffee shops or even through the use of a video chat. I always make time for my students and usually provide my students with an email address to contact me with questions out of our session that I try and answer within 24 hours. My students' success is always my top priority!

I started meeting with Jeff regularly after struggling with Orgo 1 at the beginning of the semester. He was always very friendly, patient and reliable. He is also extremely knowledgeable and does a great job of explaining the material in a way that makes it easy to understand. However, what made the sessions the most valuable to me was that you don’t just work through a lot of problems and memorize how to do them- you learn the concepts and reasons behind WHY things happen the way they do. This helped me keep up in future lectures and dramatically improved my later test scores. I would definitely recommend him to other students!
Absolutely the best tutor my son has ever had. He is friendly, engaging, and really understands the course packets and exam expectations. He is also reasonably priced. I give Jeffery my very best rating: Superb
