Education
I am a Spanish and HR/Business Management Graduate from Vanderbilt 2010. During my time there, I received an honor of International Student Scholar while I studied abroad in Argentina. I have been studying Spanish for 10 years now and have traveled to other countries such as the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Honduras, Uruguay, and Brazil. I recently obtained a Project Management Certification from the University of California, Berkeley . I am also the founder and CEO of Grant and Fund Mi Dreamz which is a grant writing and fundraising consultant business.
Experience
I have been a tutor for over 10 years. My earliest experiences were during the summers at local summer camps and I was always involved in after school tutoring programs where I would tutor my peers. For four consecutive years, during college, I mentored students that were interested in matriculating to business and law school. I tutored Nashville children in various subjects from local elementary, middle, and high schools. During this time, I had the privilege of teaching Spanish speaking families the English language, including computer skills, reading and collaborated family life skills games. In addition, I traveled to the DR where I was a site leader for a service trip of about 14 of my peers. While here we taught various seminars and organized service projects, truly a remarkable and life changing experience. Most recently, I taught parenting classes in Spanish and English through a government program in GA. It goes without saying that I have a wealth of experience as a tutor, but I would like to be a tutor because I have a passion to teach and believe that I am a very flexible teacher. My current profession is to help others and it is the most gratifying experience. Most importantly, I have had tutors in subjects throughout my academic pursuits and have benefitted from the relationship, teaching, and mentorship. I would like to be that bridge for others.
