Experience
My love for teaching began right when I was in University, where I tutored subjects that I aced so I could help other students succeed. At that time, I tutored science and business undergraduate subjects- my students ranged in their personality styles, motivation types and learning methods. I adapted to effectively not just teach but coach and mentor them. As I got my designations and certifications, I was a student mentor for the CPA program helping interns and young professionals learn the material and understand the concepts in a fast paced work environment. I was an exam content contributor for the Institute of Internal Auditors and an exam coach for ISACA's Certified Information Systems Auditor exams. While I was leading diverse teams of professionals ranging in size from 2-30, I also taught advanced auditing at Algonquin College. My students benefited from my real life examples where I also employ my business coaching to fit the learning style of my students and my team. I have facilitated, taught and coached numerous clients on applying concepts of auditing, risk management and financial controls, so I am able to effectively and efficiently blend "textbook" land and "real world" to help you achieve your goals, whether it is to ace that test, motivate you on that subject, just "get it done and pass the exam", or make a successful career in that field!
