Experience

I am an adjunct professor teaching epidemiology and statistics at Emory and Georgia State Universities. I have taught 2 of the 5 core courses at Emory for MPH and Epidemiology PhD students. I have also engaged in 1-on-1 tutoring for half a dozen public health students, an experience that I really enjoyed! I tutored other students in math in high school, as well. I scored a 1540 on the old SAT (740 math, 800 verbal) and a 1580 on the old GRE (780 math, 800 verbal). I have a PhD in epidemiology from Emory University. Epidemiology combines high-level math and science to study how diseases are distributed across people, places, and times (e.g. why some people get cancer and others don't). My research area is sports injuries, particularly in the NFL and MLB. I'm excited for the opportunity to work with math and science students at any level one-on-one! My goal and responsibility is to meet students where they're at and help them understand difficult topics better than before we started. I have a genuine passion for everything I teach, and I hope that enthusiasm is infectious for my students.
