Experience
I have a Master's Degree in history from Auburn University and a Bachelor's Degree in history, which I completed at the University of South Florida - St. Petersburg. I am in the process of completing a PhD in history at Georgia State University. Throughout my time as a student, I have gained experience as a teaching assistant and an instructor. I am passionate about writing, literature, and history. I am comfortable tutoring students in world history, college English, European history, and American history. I am also available to tutor students in Advanced Placement courses, such as AP world history and AP United States history. While I was studying at Auburn, I gained experience with tutoring student athletes in world history. My philosophy as a tutor involves having students work in collaboration with their tutor or teacher. When students are able to engage with their instructor, it provides them with a great opportunity to grasp the material. I also believe that learning should be a fun experience. My goal is to ensure that my students learn to love writing, literature, and history as much as I do. In terms of hobbies, I like playing with my dogs, playing basketball, watching sports, writing, and reading.
