Hobbies

Besides school, I am an avid reader and writer-my favorite genres are horror, fantasy, and mystery (as well as Latin American, British, and American classics). In addition, I am interested in screenwriting (I love television and films!). I play piano recreationally and drums recreationally, but I will be taking lessons to learn the harp soon. I am active in local and state politics, especially in regards to immigration, LGBTQIA rights, and ESL/ESOL teaching strategies. I love animals, and I volunteer at least twice a month at a local no-kill shelter. Furthermore, I have raised and taken care of a handicapped dog for the past nine years. I'm interested in becoming fluent in other languages, so I am currently studying Irish, Esperanto, and French.
