Experience
I am: an experienced hedge funds financial analyst (a fancy term for geek), one of the world's youngest members of the CFA and CAIA associations (these are the most prestigious and arduous designations in the financial industry), an employee of a prominent investment bank, a 4-year experienced college tutor, and a martial artist. If you are in college and taking finance (any course), economics (micro or macro), or accounting (financial) courses and looking for someone to help you understand what the heck your professor is talking about, and not willing to pay your hard-earned-through-waiting-tables-for-a-week money for two hours' worth of information, you've reached your destination. I work for a well-known investment bank in NYC and am currently on a sabbatical. I'm trying to use my time to help others navigate their path through the basics of financial analysis and economics. I've reached a very good stage in my career because I had good mentors, and my goal is to pay that forward. I'm not an academic by any standards and my goal is to break the wedge between what you study in class (mostly nonsense) and what happens in the real world. I've taught college students for 4 years in the subjects mentioned above in three different countries (US, UK and my hometown Dubai). As for my educational background, I've a B.Sc. in finance and the CFA and CAIA titles. I give special treatments to those who are working hard in their life to earn a degree in business (like students hustling with a demanding job and uni work, people over 30, single moms, or any other special case). So please feel free to explain to me your situation ahead of time. My iPhone is always on me. So please drop me an email whenever you like.
