When students learn in the classroom setting, they often don't receive the kind of close support that can be provided by a tutor, which can lead to students slipping through the gaps of the educational system. With a tutor, they are provided with personal encouragement and the skills needed to succeed. Tutors also serve as a guide through the process of taking a student's education to the next level, whether that is helping them choose which career to pursue, which university to apply to, or simply just giving the student advice. It is this personal relationship that proves useful to students who employ the services of a tutor, and it can often mean the difference between disinterest in a subject and active engagement with the same subject. I have studied at Hendrix College, and I am extremely thankful for the opportunities my education has given me, especially my travels to England, Spain, and Vietnam as a part of my studies. I have spent my time after graduation teaching Spanish in high schools throughout Atlanta, and can tutor students at any level of the Spanish language as well as AP-level Spanish courses. I enjoy tutoring students who are preparing for the ACT, GRE, PSAT, and SAT. I'm also a proud member of Teach for America.
