Experience
As a tutor for more than 5-years, Nancy Sprauve has specialized in teaching basic math, pre-algebra, HS & college algebra, geometry, and statistics. She uses visual images, as well as print and web-based resources to assure that the student gains full understanding of the topics. She has tutored math to students of all ages including adults returning to school. Her students range from junior high school to graduate-level PhD candidates. Mrs. Sprauve holds a masters degree in Behavioral Science with a background in social, biomedical and healthcare research. In 1999, she graduated as a NASA GISS intern and salutatorian from Math, Science, & Technology Magnet HS. She received a BA in Sociology from Smith College (2003) and an MPH from Emory University (2007). She also accepted the invitation to the National Scholars Honor Society specifically for her 3.8 GPA and 3 publications in peer-reviewed journals of social science and public health before she graduated. Nancy has other teaching experience as a Teacher's Assistant for two graduate courses. Additionally, she has taught classes in Geography and Harlem Renaissance to bona fide gifted students in the Harambee Program at the Savannah Country Day School.
